There is always going to be someone riding one someone else's wave of success. In this case, I'm talking about air guitarist, Magic Cyclops. As you all may know he was featured on American Idol and stirred a big commotion in the media. He was on NPR, Huffington Post, FOX, and many radio stations including one desperate radio station from Davenport, Iowa called B100.
For those out of the loop, here is Magic Cyclop's bit on American Idol.
The following morning on B100's Facebook fan page it read, "America's been punked...by us".
Once called out in desperate measures the radio station deleted all comments about the claim and now they are denying it. There had been articles about this shpill about their claim, CLICK HERE! As you see on the top of the article the original writer to this piece had to put a disclaimer about B100's crookedness. Let that be a lesson. Fact check your material before writing about it. I called B100 to get a word from them. After all, they devised this plan to get Scott Fuller as a character to get on American Idol. So I wanted to see how incorporated their selves into this situation. FACT CHECK: I've known Cyclops for a few years and it's his air guitar alias. We met in 2009 in NYC. When he introduced himself as Magic Cyclops while sporting a Magic Cyclops tshirt I knew that he was the real deal. So B100 claimed to have known him for the past 5 years right? This is what they had to say to me.

I believe he (Cyclops) plays 11 different air guitars?

No, I believe he plays 11 THOUSAND air guitars.

See, so much I know about him.
When asked why did your radio station highjack Cyclop's fame one of the guys replied, "I would agree that he is a flash-in-the-pan. His 15 minutes are about up."
They are now claiming that they have nothing to do with his doing on the show, but yet they still posted that they "punked" America. Pretty damn lame right?
When I spoke with Cyclops he says that they never once asked him to give them a shout out nor has he ever met them. "I don't usually befriend men with frosted tip goatee's and bedazzled jeans", says Cyclops. Which is most likely true coming from a dude who's favorite band is Descendants.
"That was our buddy and goofing around, but he's good at staying in character,"says Scott of B100. , but yet when I corrected him through our phone call about how many air guitars he owns he replied, "See, so much I know about him."
So yeh, there it is. Pretty darn lame. Blah!
